It all starts with an idea
All great designs began with a single thought. A scribble on a notepad, even a doodle on a coffee stained serviette. At YandiCo, we believe that these ideas that seem menial, should be incubated and brought to life, in creative and unique ways, through design. One of the key aspects of good
design on its functionality and usability. We want to take this one step further. Our passion lies in developing ideas into meaningful and impactful designs that tell stories. Stories have the ability to evoke emotion, change narratives and invoke necessary discussions.
The Founder
Founder od YandiCo, Uyanda Sibiya, started her own design company shortly after obtaining her BA Hon degree in Information Design from the University of Pretoria. There she learnt many design skills such as animation, motion graphics, illustration and imaging, photography and film, corporate identity development, design for development and UX/UI.
While working on finishing her degree she dabbled in creation dance content on her social media platforms. She has produced dance challenges that have trended and that people aim to recreate in parts of the world such as Nigeria, Ghana, Berlin, UK, USA and many more.
One of the things that she learnt from creating content is the importance and power of story. This is one of the key aspects of YandiCo. To give new meaning to design interventions through storytelling. It all starts with idea. Any idea can be cultivated and given a life through a beautifully weaved narrative.

These scribbles artworks are dear to her heart because they served as a therapeutic release for her when she was in university. This is why the style is scribbled. Each of those scribbles carry an emotion; anxiety, uncertainty, worry, sadness.
Despite feeling all of these emotions, we see that beautiful things can come out of them. These works represent her coming out of the shadows into the light, coming out of her shell and beginning to express herself as the creative person she is.
